Kaiser Chiefs, the multi-million selling English indie rock band from Leeds will perform at Fort Canning Park on April 7th 2009! Kaiser Chiefs come to Singapore after headlining Australia’s V Festival.

Comprised of vocalist Ricky Wilson, guitarist Andrew White, bassist Simon Rix, keyboardist Nick ‘Peanut’ Baines and drummer Nick Hodgson, Kaiser Chiefs are touring in support of their latest album Off With Their Heads.

Off With Their Heads, their third long player arrived a mere eighteen months after the release of their second album Yours Truly, Angry Mob, the best selling UK rock album of 2007. Their debut album in 2005, Employment, enjoyed international success with sales over three million and remained in the UK Top 40 for 18 months.

The Kaiser Chiefs' career took off in 2005 following a high profile appearance at the Glastonbury Festival. The band played the main stage and had the crowd eating out of the palm of its (collective) hand. The summer of 2005 also marked the 20th anniversary of Live Aid. Kaiser Chiefs were invited to open proceedings for the Philadelphia leg of the day long celebrations, playing alongside Stevie Wonder!

They sealed the deal in 2006 with triumphant sets at Reading & Leeds, T In The Park and Oxegen Festivals.

In February 2006 the Kaiser Chiefs won three Brit Awards, for Best Group, Best British Rock Act and Best Live Act.
