My Fav Song ...

Q Magazine ranks ASH # 2 on its list of “The 50 bands to see before you die”

Northern Irelands finest alternative rockers ASH will headline the Singapore Beer Festival at Fort Canning Park on Oct 2nd, 2008. Inspired by Nirvana, Mudhoney and Pixies, ASH burst onto the UK scene with three top 5 singles in 1994 when its members were still in secondary school.

In 1996 they released their seminal album “1977” which lead to World wide acclaim and an International cult following which they enjoy to this day. The band has released many memorable hits over the years such as “Goldfinger”, “Oh Yeah”, “Burn Baby Burn”, “Girl from Mars”, “A Life Less Ordinary”, “Polaris”, “Kung Fu”, “Angel Interceptor” etc. They are also perennial headliners at major music festivals such as T in the Park, Glastonbury, Nano Mugen Music Festival, Roskilde, Reading and many more.

Don’t miss your chance to see the original lineup of Tim Wheeler, Mark Hamilton and Rick McMurray when ASH rocks Fort Canning Park on October 2nd, 2008 during the Singapore Beer Festival!

Avril Lavigne's Show Will Go On...

I don't know what to say... looking at the current situation , anything might happen any minute now... ahaha..

here's the good news..

"PETALING JAYA: Canadian rock star Avril Lavigne will be performing in Kuala Lumpur after all.

The final decision, after a week of uncertainty, was made at a meeting of senior officials from the Unity, Culture, Arts and Heritage Ministry yesterday.

The organiser, Galaxy Group, obtained its permit last evening to stage the concert at Stadium Merdeka on Aug 29, sources said.

Avril’s concert here – the launch pad of her Asian dates – made headlines across the world after the Federal Territory PAS Youth told the ministry and the Kuala Lumpur Mayor to ban the event.

The wing had argued that Avril’s concert is “too punk and rock for Malaysian youth especially so during Merdeka month.”...."

Reuters - Malaysia asks Avril Lavigne to postpone concert

Malaysia's government has told promoters of a concert by Canadian pop star Avril Lavigne to postpone the show because it could mar the country's independence day celebrations, an official said on Wednesday.

"We did not reject the concert. We asked them to find another date as the original date is so close to the independence day," the official said. "That's the only reason."

A spokesman for the concert's organizers said that more than half the tickets had already been sold. "As far as we are concerned, the show is still on," he said...

-Just wait for the good news on the new concert date..
